Age Partnership To Launch Equity Release Lending Arm In 2013

Age Partnership is set to launch a specialised equity release lending arm in the second half of 2013.

The retirement specialist has applied to the FSA for lending permissions and says it is currently in discussions with a funder.

Age Partnership technical manager Simon Chalk says:

"We will be moving into lending and we are looking to launch later this year with a product which we intend to make available to the wider intermediary community.We hope to become the tenth provider this year in this sector."

Chalk joined Age Partnership, from Bower Retirement, earlier this month as technical director.
