Buildings


  • Sum insured up to £1 million
  • Damage to your buildings by specific causes including fire, storm, flood, escape of water and subsidence.
  • The cost of tracing and accessing a leak – cover up to £5,000.
  • Alternative accommodation cover up to 20% of the buildings sum insured.
  • Property owners‘ liability cover up to £2,000,000.
  • Locks and keys cover up to £750.
  • Accidental breakage of:
    • drains and pipes and accidental damage to cables and underground tanks,
    • glass, ceramic hobs and sanitary ware.

Contents


  • Sum insured up to £100,000
  • Claims settled by either replacing the items, paying their cash value or by repairing them
  • Loss or damage to your contents by specific causes including fire, storm, flood, escape of water and subsidence.
  • Food in your freezer or fridge.
  • Contents in your garden cover up to £2,000.
  • Money in the home cover up to £750.
  • Credit cards in the home cover up to £500.

What is not insured?


  • Claims arising from an event occurring before the start of the insurance period.
  • Loss or damage caused by normal use or ageing, lack of maintenance, or that loss or damage has happened gradually over time.
  • War, Terrorism, Cyber Attacks.
  • Claims resulting from wear and tear, corrosion, rusting, frost, damp, fungus, insects, mechanical or electrical fault or breakdown poor or faulty design, workmanship or materials.

Are there any restrictions on cover?


  • Excesses – this is the part of a claim you have to pay
  • If your home is left unoccupied for more than 60 days in a row there will be some limitations to the cover you can claim.
  • Replacing or changing undamaged parts which belong to a set where the damage is restricted to a specific area – eg. a fitted kitchen or a suite of sofas


If you proceed with our non⁠-⁠advised service, we will receive a percentage of the total annual premium as commission. This is factored into the quotation and is paid to us directly from Cavere.
