How can I set up my LPA?
Our LPA specialists will guide you through these simple steps.
Step 1 - Speak to our LPA specialists
A dedicated specialist will discuss your requirements and prepare the paperwork for you.
Step 2 - Signing your LPA application
Your LPA will need to be signed by you and the people that you have chosen to make decisions for you.
Step 3 - Your LPA is registered
We will submit your LPA to the Office of the Public Guardian, the body responsible for overseeing LPAs. Registration usually takes between 8 and 12 weeks.
Our LPA service is provided by Age Assist, part of the Age Partnership Group.
What happens to my old Power of Attorney?
If you have a previous Power of Attorney in place, your new one will not automatically replace your existing one. You should not cancel the old Power of Attorney until your new one has been registered. Once your LPA has completed we will send you all the required information and guide you through the simple process of cancelling your old one.
