Corporate Social Responsibility

At Age Partnership, we believe it is important for us to balance our commercial objectives by ensuring that we have a lasting positive impact upon the people and environment around us. We work hard to create the right environment for our colleagues to thrive. As a result of this approach we have gained the highest accreditation of ‘Gold’ for our customer service from Investor in Customers, a title we’ve been privileged to hold for the fifth consecutive year.

Gender Pay Gap

As a forward-thinking employer with over 250 colleagues, we have published our gender pay gap report for the period April 2021 – April 2022. The report is intended to show the difference in the hourly rate of pay between genders business-wide, regardless of role or department. It does not show any difference in pay between male or female employees doing the same or equivalent role. You can read the report here.

Environment

We are dedicated to environmental improvements that foster a sustainable future. We recycle waste paper, aluminium cans, printer cartridges and use energy saving lighting in our office. We are also working towards more paperless solutions, through a number of digital technologies. Additionally, Age Partnership has created 424m² of new native woodland in the UK to remove 17,050 kg of Carbon Dioxide between April 2015 and March 2016.

We also run a car sharing and cycle to work scheme in order to reduce our carbon footprint.

Whilst we know this is only a small contribution in the grand scheme of things, we strongly believe in doing our part for the cause, and hope to inspire others to follow suit. Together we can make a change.

As a large responsible organisation, Age Partnership Group has produced a Slavery and Human Trafficking statement relating to the period January – December 2020. Supporting Education

In 2016, we set up links with both Leeds University and Leeds Beckett University to support the education of undergraduates by providing paid work placements within our marketing team.

We now have placement students working in the Marketing, Digital Marketing, Web and Product Delivery teams, with students from a number of Universities across the country. It's our aim to further develop this relationship and provide further employment opportunities across the wider business as both placement and graduate level for 2022.

Charity and Community

We know that the Company and its employees have an important role to play in the communities within which we work and live. We actively encourage our staff to volunteer their time in fundraising for charitable causes. To support this, Age Partnership allows employees to take up to a maximum of one day of paid time per year (1st January to 31st December) during working hours for community volunteering and fundraising.

Our intention is to participate in giving back to the community and to allow the employees of Age Partnership to share in that effort, providing positive enrichment to them and our stakeholders.

We also strive to be a positive force in our community, a good neighbour and sensitive to the local community's cultural, social and economic needs.

Age Partnership recognises that our people are our most important asset. As a result, we place a strong emphasis on workplace safety and work-life balance while investing in the development of all colleagues. Our employees can also expect us to provide a secure, safe and healthy working environment and to be treated with respect at all times.

Within Age Partnership, access to employment, development, opportunity, training & development and promotion is:

Free from discrimination on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, ethnic origin or disability;

Based solely on the objective assessment of ability and other relevant job-related criteria; and

In the case of training and career development, based on agreed need.

All new starters undertake a thorough company induction programme which includes coverage of our commitment to CSR.

We encourage our colleagues to get to know each other away from the office through a range of social activities and we have an active running and football club. This helps to create a friendly and fun atmosphere inside and outside of the office.

Our employee benefits scheme includes discounted childcare vouchers, discounted gym membership, a cycle-to-work scheme and a group personal pension. We offer health and well-being benefits through Westfield Health, along with discount cards, access to private healthcare and much more.

This has helped us maintain a strong and happy team for many years, and also ensures that we attract the very best candidates, and exceptional colleagues for you to work with.
