STORAGE SPACE?
If space is at a premium, folding furniture will stow away in a shed or garage, or under a cover in winter. Some modern modular sets have space for chairs to slot neatly underneath when you’re not using them.
LOVE LOW MAINTENANCE?
Hardwoods, like teak, oak and acacia, are enduring but will benefit from being oiled once a year. Plastic is hard wearing and will simply need cleaning. And while metal furniture often comes painted or coated, make sure you repair chips to prevent rusting. Fabric, like Textoline, is a great choice for durability as it’s often waterproof and UV resistant.
