The IERAA launched on July 8th and aims to promote use of experienced advisers, independent lenders, and encourage select equity release brokers to come on board.

The IERAA has no connection to Specialist Advisers for Equity Release, an already established equity release trade body.

The IERAA currently comprises of 18 members.  Brokers who want to join will need to demonstrate experience in equity release advice and provide references from lenders and providers.

Chairman of IERAA, Anthony Harris,  said:

“The alliance is all about providing access to the best individual advisers that the industry can offer – access for the general public and access for our fellow professionals.

“Together we will be stronger and can maintain the highest of standards through the common aim of offering independent specialist advice.”
