NAPF wants to see better pension plans

The main parties' pension plans could end up being "very damaging" for older people, warns the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF).
Many of those who feel the pinch once a new government is elected on May 6th might want to consider an equity release scheme to give them extra financial help.
With a home reversion scheme or a lifetime drawdown mortgage, homeowners can extract some of the value of their house whilst still living there.
Whilst equity release is an option now, the NAPF would like to see further financial aid from the government. They believe that there should be a Foundation Pension worth £8,000 a year and people should be encouraged to save for their old age.
