Four out of every five people (81 per cent) believe that houses prices will continue to increase over the next six months, a new survey reveals.

These are the findings of property website Zoopla.co.uk, which also discovered that people believe that house equity will increase by an average of 5.7 per cent.

This will come as a boost to homeowners with equity release plans, as they could end up getting more money than in previous months and years, leading to them having a more comfortable retirement.

The equity released could be taken as a lump sum to pay for a big purchase, such as a car or holiday, or as a regular additional income on top of their pension.ADNFCR-3040-ID-19707223-ADNFCR
