An equity release plan could be the best solution for those over-55 to realise their dream retirement as a new survey has found that most of those who have already retired overseas are happy with their decision.

The research, from NatWest, found that nearly three quarters of those questioned considered that they had made the right decision by retiring abroad.

It also found that almost nine in ten owned their own home outright and that the majority felt that they were happier now then they would have been in the UK.

If you're looking to do something special with your golden years, but finance is a worry, then an equity release plan can provide a boost to your annual income as well as a useful cash lump sum.
