An equity release scheme may be the best way to protect retirement income levels for those over 55, as pension experts warn that changes to pension rules could cause problems for those that have stopped work.

The group of pension industry experts told the BBC that plans to link pension rises to the Consumer Prices Index measure of inflation, instead of the Retail Prices Index, could mean effective cuts of up to a quarter of retirement income over the long term.

If you are concerned about having sufficient income to maintain your lifestyle in retirement, then an equity release scheme could be the answer.

An equity release scheme can provide not only an increased annual income, but could also give you a large cash lump sum as well.ADNFCR-3040-ID-19925154-ADNFCR
