There may be good news for over-55's considering equity release as Halifax bank has reported that UK house prices rose by 0.6 per cent in July.

It appears to be further evidence of a stabilisation in the market after the falls seen over the last couple of years.

It could mean that those opting for an equity release scheme could benefit from an even higher retirement income or cash lump-sum.

An equity release scheme can be a great way to unlock the hidden value in your home and is a great alternative to downsizing or selling in order to make your retirement more comfortable.ADNFCR-3040-ID-19920061-ADNFCR
