People over the age of 55 could benefit from an equity release scheme as a new survey has found that nearly 90 per cent of UK adults have no written plan for retirement.

The research by Sun Life Financial of Canada also found that that there was a lack of optimism towards retirement in the UK compared to America and Canada.

If you feel that you are not fully prepared for retirement or if you just think that an extra income could help you to make the most of life after work, then an equity release scheme may be the answer.
