Britain's leading companies have made big inroads into filling the black holes in their pension schemes, but many people whose pensions have already suffered could benefit from an equity release scheme to boost their income.

According to a new report FTSE 100 firms made record payments into their schemes last year, but nearly one in four of them have also made their final salary schemes less generous for existing members.

It could mean that many older people in the future will struggle to enjoy their retirement as rising costs mean that they have less spare cash to spend on themselves or their loved ones.

One good way to increase disposable income in retirement is an equity release scheme that could use the value stored in your home to supplement your existing retirement income or even provide a cash lump sum.ADNFCR-3040-ID-19920062-ADNFCR
